The Institution of Engineers,Pakistan came into existence in 1948 with the blessings of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as successor to the Institution of Engineers, UK.
The working of the Institution of Engineers, Pakistan is on the pattern of the Institution of Civil Engineers, UK.
The primary objective of the IEP is promoting Professional Development of Engineers.
